Everything in life starts as a seed.

Hello,

My name is Andrea. I am the owner/operator of The Rooted Archer. My love of nature started as a child and is strongly received by my maternal side, especially my late grandmother, Wilma. My love of flora and fauna continued to grow after high school when I took a position at a local plant nursery. Over the next 17 years, I did everything from plant maintenance, assisting garden center customers with landscape design, trouble shooting plant concerns, to eventually ordering, procuring plant material and assisting with landscape projects. Along the way, I was certified as an Indiana Accredited Horticulturist.

After starting my family (married with 2 sons) I decided to pursue a nursing career and at this became interested in holistic health and wellness, especially with the use of herbal medicine. I now hold certifications as a member of the Holistic Nurse Association and in Herbal Medicine making from the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine.

I still work 1 day/week in the operating room and while I love my OR team, I continue to root in to my passion. With an eye for design and an unwaivering determination (thanks again, Grandma), The Rooted Archer was created. Collaborating with contractors and industry professionals, I strive to ensure all of our clients achieve their desired results.

When I’m not digging in the dirt or with my family (including 3 cats!), I’m might be running, hiking, practicing yoga, volunteering with the Indiana Native Plant Societs or Hamilton County Invasives Partnership , taking a class or creating new ideas for projects.
